Per Federal Law, employers must annually inform their insurer or third-party administrator of proper employee counts.
In the absence of this information, an employer’s group health plan coverage must be considered primary to Medicare. The completion of the
Annual MSP Form will assist SummaCare in determining the appropriate order of payment for your Medicare eligible enrollees, as well as ensure that the correct information is being reported under the Mandatory Insurer Reporting laws.
This information will also be used to assist SummaCare in complying with the Ohio/NAIC reporting requirements regarding small employer group and large employer group counts.
