Health Services

SummaCare is focused on keeping our members healthy using our Case, Condition and Pregnancy Management programs available to them. SummaCare has Registered Nurse case managers available to provide education to members on self-management of disease conditions and to assist in coordination of services. SummaCare’s Condition Management programs provide valuable tools and resources to help our members manage chronic conditions and live a happier, healthier life. SummaCare offers PregnancyCare to high-risk expectant moms to help members manage their health through their pregnancy.

Reporting Ethics & Compliance Concerns

SummaCare’s Network Providers have a responsibility to report any alleged compliance, fraud, waste, and/or abuse issues involving SummaCare. SummaCare providers may confidentially report a potential violation of our compliance policies or any applicable regulation by utilizing any of the methods indicated below. As a SummaCare Network Provider, your organization/office must adopt and enforce a zero-tolerance policy for retaliation or retribution against anyone who reports suspected misconduct. For your reference, SummaCare has a policy that prohibits retaliation or harassment against employees who raise a concern or report an issue to the SummaCare Compliance Officer.

What to Report

  • Any compliance concern including suspected or actual misconduct;
  • Violations of SummaCare’s Code of Ethical Conduct;
  • Violations related to Personal Health Information (PHI) and/or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) laws and regulations;
  • Fraud, waste or abuse concerns, including inaccurate billing, eligibility, enrollment and membership concerns;
  • Conflict of interest issues.
