You’ve Got Mail: What to Expect from SummaCare

As a SummaCare Medicare Advantage member, it’s important that we keep you informed throughout the year about any benefit changes, how to make the most of your coverage and ways to stay active and healthy.

With the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) nearly upon us, we know the mail (and email, and even the occasional phone call) can start to pile up. We won’t stuff your mailbox with more than you need, but here’s a look at a few of the things headed your way over the next few weeks.

Our gift to you: 2027 calendar

Keep an eye on your mailbox for our annual calendar, a member favorite year after year. Last year’s showcase of Ohio birds was a hit. This year’s theme is one we think you’ll want to hang on your fridge the moment it arrives.

Your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC)

Sometime in early October, a letter marked “Annual Notice of Change” will land in your mailbox. Don’t let the official-sounding name intimidate you, it’s really just SummaCare’s way of saying “here’s what’s different this year.” Your ANOC spells out what’s changing about your SummaCare Medicare Advantage plan for the coming year, like premiums, copays, covered drugs and network providers.

What should I do? Nothing right away, but it’s worth a read. It’s the best way to check whether your plan still fits your needs, or if it’s worth comparing other options during the AEP.

Medicare Advantage Member Meeting

Throughout the AEP, we’ll be hosting member meetings where you can learn about your 2027 benefits, talk with one of our friendly, knowledgeable, local SummaCare Medicare Advantage Advisors, and receive a gift.
