SummaCare’s 5-star rating for 2023 means that Medicare members can switch their coverage outside of the fall Annual Enrollment Period—they can choose to enroll in a SummaCare Medicare Advantage plan TODAY. If a family member or friend is eligible for Medicare or will be within the next 12 months, tell them about SummaCare Medicare Advantage plans.

Per CMS guidelines and regulations, employees who provide direct patient care (physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, etc.), cannot refer their own patients to SummaCare Medicare Advantage. SummaCare is an HMO and HMO-POS plan with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in SummaCare depends on contract renewal. Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system. SummaCare Medicare has been recognized with a 5-Star (out of 5) overall rating for 2023 from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). 97% retention rate based on 2023 AEP voluntary disenrollment study completed by SummaCare.
