SummaCare's 2021 Medicare Advantage Plans Now Available

AKRON, Ohio, October 1, 2020 – Beginning October 15, Medicare-eligible individuals may select comprehensive and affordable medical and pharmacy benefits with new and enhanced updates from one of SummaCare’s Medicare Advantage plans for 2021. Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period runs through December 7.

Based in Akron and available to Medicare eligible individuals in 31 northern Ohio counties, SummaCare offers an extensive network of thousands of physicians and providers and is one of Ohio’s highest rated Medicare Advantage plans for three straight years. Plans start as low as $0 per month and feature new and unique supplemental benefits including:

  • Family On-Demand: Papa is a company that pairs Medicare beneficiaries with college students, called Papa Pals, for companionship, technology education and support, assistance with everyday tasks and more. SummaCare is the only plan in Ohio offering this benefit!
  • Travel Coverage: In-network coverage available while in Florida. And introducing Assist America® for global emergency travel assistance when members are more than 100 miles from home or in a foreign country.
  • Meals: Meals that fuel healthy living are covered for 2021! Following a hospital stay or for those with diabetes with a high A1C level, nutritious meals allowing members to focus on rest and recovery will be delivered to members’ homes.
